FAQ

How does booking and payment work?

The first step is getting to know each other. I truly believe connection matters, I want to understand your story, your vision, and make sure we’re the right fit for one another. Once we’ve chosen the date and location (I’ll always guide you through location options), you’ll receive your contract, questionnaire and invoice. A 50% deposit is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your session. Please note the deposit is non-refundable, as it secures your spot in my calendar.

Do you offer payment plans?

You’re welcome to split your investment into 2 or 3 instalments, depending on how far in advance your session is booked. Payments can be made via credit card or bank transfer. The full balance must be finalised prior to your session date.

If you need a payment structure that feels manageable, just let me know, I’m always happy to find an option that works comfortably for you.

What if we’re awkward in front of the camera?

Honestly? Most people feel that way. My work is centred around who you truly are, I don’t copy and paste sessions. I take time to understand your dynamic so I can guide you in a way that reflects your story, not a posed version of it. You don’t need to know what to do. I’ll guide you the entire time using movement, interaction and natural prompts so everything flows organically. When we focus on connection rather than perfection, it never feels forced.

Where do sessions take place?

I’m based in Sydney and work across various regions of NSW upon request. There is no travel fee within Sydney or for the Central Coast. For other locations, a travel fee of $50 per 50km applies and I'm open to travel. I’ll always help you choose a location that aligns with your vision and the feeling you want your images to carry.

When will we receive our photos?

My turnaround time is up to 15 business days, though most galleries are delivered within one week.

When is the best time to book maternity and newborn sessions?

For maternity sessions, the ideal window is between 28 and 33 weeks. At this stage, your belly is beautifully round, you generally have more mobility, less swelling and more energy for a dynamic session. We can photograph up to 34 weeks, but scheduling earlier gives us more flexibility in case we need to reschedule due to weather.

For newborn sessions, I recommend booking during your pregnancy and planning the session within the first 7 days after birth. During this time, babies are still very sleepy and naturally curled, which allows for a calm and gentle session.

What happens if the weather turns?

We can reschedule at no cost. I don’t only reschedule in case of rain, I also offer flexibility if the day is heavily overcast, extremely hot or very cold. My priority is delivering images that reflect the light and atmosphere you see in my portfolio. We’ll keep an eye on the forecast together and make the best call for your session.

What if the kids don’t cooperate?

They don’t need to. My sessions aren’t about standing still and smiling at the camera. They’re about capturing your family as you are right now. I want your children to run, explore, be curious, play and express themselves freely. One day, those little details, the way they laughed, the way they held your hand, the way they moved and played, will mean far more than a perfectly posed smile. Childhood moves fast. I photograph it honestly.

What should we wear?

I offer a small wardrobe collection for women. I generally recommend soft, breathable fabrics and neutral tones that complement both the natural surroundings and the quality of light. Once we choose your location, I’ll guide you in selecting outfits that feel cohesive, natural and aligned with who you are.

How long does the session last?

My sessions for couples, maternity and families range from 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on the package you choose.

Newborn sessions can last up to 2 hours, as we allow plenty of time for feeding, settling and pauses. I never rush newborn sessions, they’re gentle, calm and led by your baby’s rhythm.

Can we bring our dog?

100% yes. Your dog is part of your family, and I love including them whenever possible. I do ask that you bring someone along who won’t be participating in the session to help look after your pet during the moments they’re not in the photos. This way, you can fully relax and focus without worrying.
